Description
Technical Parameters

Designed for processors of peas, corn kernels, diced carrots, broccoli, green beans, spinach, okra, mushrooms, and similar products, this integrated line connects the key operations required before and after IQF freezing. Raw materials can be inspected, washed, trimmed, peeled, sliced, diced, or cut according to the finished-product specification. A second washing stage can be added when cut surfaces or soil loads require additional cleaning.

Each Frozen Vegetable Processing Line is configured around the raw material, product size, inlet temperature, target capacity, available utilities, and plant layout. Mesh-belt blanching, normal-temperature water pre-cooling, ice-water pre-cooling, vibrating drainage, air-blower drying, lifting, and vibrating feeding can be combined to stabilize the product before it enters the fluidized IQF freezer. The frozen product may then pass through inspection, sorting, weighing, and packing for cold storage.

PRODUCT FEATURES

1. Modular Process Design: Washing, cutting, blanching, cooling, dewatering, freezing, sorting, and packing modules can be selected according to the product.

2. Controlled Pretreatment: Two-stage water cooling helps stop the blanching process and reduces the heat load before freezing.

3. Improved Product Separation: Vibrating drainage, air-blower drying, and even feeding reduce surface water and help individual pieces remain separated.

4. Efficient IQF Freezing: A fluidized-bed freezer uses high-velocity cold air to lift and separate suitable small products for fast, uniform freezing.

5. Gentle Material Handling: Matched conveyors and controlled transfer points reduce repeated manual handling and unnecessary product damage.

6. Flexible Product Changeover: Conveyor speed, processing time, cooling conditions, feed depth, and freezing settings can be adjusted for different vegetables.

7. Expandable Automation: The line can connect to post-freezing sorters, inspection conveyors, multihead weighing systems, packing machines, and cold-storage conveyors.

APPLICATIONS

Typical products include green peas, sweet corn, spinach, kidney beans, carrot slices or dice, broccoli florets, cauliflower, okra, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and other prepared vegetables. Optional peeling and slicing equipment is suitable for potato or root-vegetable projects, while gentle washing and post-freezing sorting can be added for delicate berries and selected fruit products. Final equipment selection depends on product shape, surface moisture, fragility, and required package quality.

TYPICAL CONFIGURATION

Process Stage

Typical Equipment

Main Function

1. Preparation

Peeler, slicer, dicer, or cutter

Optional for potatoes, root vegetables, and products requiring a defined finished size.

2. Inspection

Selecting conveyor

Allows operators to remove foreign material and unqualified raw products.

3. Primary Washing

Bubble washer

Uses water circulation and bubbles to loosen soil and surface contaminants.

4. Secondary Washing

Bubble or spray washer

Provides additional cleaning after trimming or cutting when required.

5. Blanching

Mesh-belt blancher

Provides controlled heat treatment for enzyme inactivation, color protection, or partial cooking.

6. First Cooling

Normal-temperature water pre-cooler

Removes initial heat and begins stopping the blanching process.

7. Deep Cooling

Ice-water pre-cooler

Reduces the product temperature further before IQF freezing.

8. Dewatering

Vibrating drainage machine

Removes free water while conveying and loosening the product layer.

9. Surface Drying

Air-blower drying conveyor

Reduces remaining surface moisture to limit ice buildup and sticking.

10. Transfer

Elevator with air blowers

Raises the product while providing optional additional air drying.

11. Even Feeding

Vibrating feeder

Spreads material into a controlled, uniform layer before freezing.

12. IQF Freezing

Fluidized-bed IQF freezer

Freezes suitable small products rapidly while promoting individual separation.

13. Post-processing

Sorter, inspection, weighing, and packing

Checks frozen quality, separates grades, and prepares products for cold storage.

Q&A

Q: Which vegetables can the line process?

A: It can be configured for peas, corn, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, spinach, okra, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and many other prepared vegetables.

Q: Does every project require the complete equipment list?

A: No. The configuration is modular. Machines can be added, removed, or rearranged according to the raw material condition and finished-product requirements.

Q: Why are normal-water and ice-water pre-cooling used after blanching?

A: Two-stage cooling removes heat efficiently, stops further cooking, and lowers the product temperature before freezing, helping reduce refrigeration load and protect texture.

Q: How does the system reduce product clumping?

A: Vibrating drainage, air-blower drying, uniform feeding, and properly adjusted fluidized cold air help reduce surface water and keep suitable products separated during freezing.

Q: Can peeling and cutting machines be included?

A: Yes. Potato peelers, slicers, dicers, and vegetable cutters can be integrated when the product requires preparation before washing, blanching, and freezing.

Q: Can the line process delicate berries or fruit pieces?

A: Yes, when fitted with gentle washing, controlled conveying, suitable dewatering, and an appropriate IQF process. A post-freezing sorter can also be added when grading is required.

Q: Can the line connect to weighing and packing equipment?

A: Yes. Frozen products can be transferred to inspection, sorting, metal detection, multihead weighing, bagging, cartoning, and cold-storage systems.

Q: What information is needed for a quotation?

A: Please provide the product type and size, inlet condition, required capacity, utilities, factory layout, final package, and preferred level of automation. Final specifications are confirmed for each project.
