How often does a shrimp grader require a major overhaul?

There is no single, fixed standard for the major overhaul cycle of a shrimp grader; the schedule depends on the specific usage scenario, primarily based on the following factors:

Standard Operating Conditions: For commercial shrimp graders operating at full capacity under normal conditions, a comprehensive overhaul should be scheduled every 12 to 18 months. This includes complete disassembly of the machine and the inspection or replacement of core components.

High-Load Scenarios: If the equipment operates continuously for more than 8 hours a day or handles high processing volumes, the overhaul cycle may be shortened to 8 to 12 months to prevent sudden breakdowns caused by excessive component wear.

Low-Load Scenarios: For equipment used only seasonally-with an annual operating time of less than 1,000 hours-the interval for a comprehensive overhaul can be extended to 24 months.

Major overhauls involve the complete replacement of core components such as bearings, drive chains, and grading drums; rust removal and anti-rust treatment for the entire machine; and a thorough inspection and calibration of the electrical system, all aimed at restoring the equipment's original factory precision and operational stability.
